Oak Trusses & Cut Roof

These oak trusses were made for Harbour Construction Ltd on one of their barn conversions. With a scaffold roof overhead a crane was not an option, so these were made onsite and carried up into place and assembled piece by piece at wall plate height. Even with the help of a genie lift and winch, weighing up to 700kg for the hip truss it was no easy feat. These trusses were engineered to be extremely strong and are load bearing for the cut roof above which we also constructed, however they are also visible from inside the barn to keep the traditional feeling of the building. We are very proud of this job!
